What to Expect When Quitting

Smoke Free - The 28 Day Stop Smoking Program was first created by Anthony D'Agostino. With his program, you will find that you do not have to make extreme changes in your life style to stop smoking, but only some minor ones. For example, you may have to evaluate food habits, but still eating the food you like or add 5 to 10 minutes a day for light exercise.

The Program

You are about to make one of the biggest changes in your life, but to do so successfully, you will have to start out with some smaller changes first.

Sit back, take your time, and enjoy the process—remember, your goal is Anthony's goal, and that is to help you stop smoking. Enjoy the process instead of worrying about it. Just have fun, and before you know it, it will all be over.

The first and most important thing to remember throughout the program is not to be anxious. Do not rush through any section of the program. This cannot be stressed enough—do not force yourself to do anything in this program.  The changes you are going to encounter must come easily and naturally. Rather than associating stopping with painful or negative thoughts, consider it something joyful and pleasurable.

The program is set up to take 28 days. While some programs claim they can have you smoke-free in less than a week, they are unlikely to keep users smoke-free for long after the program's completion. You need to condition yourself to stop smoking, and that is how Anthony's program works. You will condition your mind and body to accept the change without any shock to your system.

After 28 days, it will be as if you never smoked at all. Unlike going "cold turkey," this teaches users how to prepare the body. It's also done without the use of patches, candies, or gum that still use nicotine while doing nothing for the emotions associated with stopping smoking.
